Newly elected Hamas political bureau chief Khalil al-Hayya thanked Türkiye, Egypt and Qatar for their mediation efforts in his first televised address since taking the movement's top post.
Ahram Online reported that el-Hayya urged the mediators to press Israel to implement existing agreements and move negotiations into their next stage.
The speech did not indicate progress on the disputes over Hamas's disarmament, Israel's withdrawal from Gaza or the territory's future administration.
El-Hayya placed a complete end to the war and the withdrawal of Israeli forces at the top of the priorities he outlined. He also said reconstruction should not be tied to political concessions and rejected the forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza.
His remarks kept Türkiye inside the main Gaza negotiation channel alongside Egypt and Qatar. Ankara has hosted Hamas representatives while conducting separate talks on Ukraine and other regional conflicts, a role examined in an earlier Bosphorus News report on Türkiye's growing diplomatic role.
El-Hayya, who has led Hamas's negotiating team in ceasefire talks, was selected as the movement's general leader and political bureau chief on July 20.
Mediators are still trying to bridge differences over the sequence of an Israeli withdrawal, Hamas's disarmament and the establishment of a technocratic administration in Gaza.
The comments came one day after Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi credited Türkiye with helping prevent armed Iranian Kurdish groups based in Iraq from opening another front against Iran.
