    Prof. Dr. Özcan Yeniçeri

    Özcan Yeniçeri is a Turkish academic and author whose work ranges across management theory, political philosophy and Turkish history from the Ottoman era to the present. He completed his doctorate at Erciyes University in 1991, became an associate professor in 1998 and a full professor in 2004.

    He founded and chaired the international relations department at Ahmet Yesevi University in Kazakhstan and later headed its strategic research centre, AYSAM.

    At the 21st Century Turkey Institute he served as head of the National Security Strategies Centre, as chairman of the board and as deputy head of the institute.

    He served as a member of the Turkish parliament for Ankara between 2011 and 2015, elected on the Nationalist Movement Party list, and sat on the National Education, Culture, Youth and Sport Committee.

    He has published more than twenty books, received the Osman Turan Culture Research Award in 2003, and writes a newspaper column. He is currently working on his memoirs.
