Türkiye is entering the next phase of mobile connectivity with the launch of 5G services. The rollout is expected to expand from initial coverage to nationwide availability within two years.

Türkiye will begin offering 5G services on April 1, according to Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloğlu. The launch marks the start of a phased deployment that will gradually extend across the country.

Uraloğlu said the new system will deliver significantly higher speeds and lower latency than existing networks, supporting applications ranging from industrial automation to healthcare and transport.

State media reported that 5G infrastructure will be integrated into sectors such as smart agriculture, remote medical services and digital education as part of the rollout.

The government aims to complete nationwide coverage within two years as operators expand network capacity following the initial launch.
