Supergears Shifts into High Gear with $2.1 Million Investment, Backed by Gaming Titan KRAFTON
Supergears Games, the dynamic studio out of Istanbul known for tearing up the mobile racing scene, has put the pedal to the metal on its global ambitions, securing a crucial $2.1 million in a seed funding round.
The significant cash infusion, announced on November 24, 2025, is earmarked not just for sustaining growth but for dramatically expanding the company’s signature vision: the creation of an interconnected, "next-gen" mobile racing universe branded as Racing Kingdom.
The funding round drew attention from both domestic and international power players, demonstrating strong confidence in the studio's technical prowess and market traction. Leading the investment charge was Hedef Portföy, which even established a dedicated fund, SuperGears GSYF, to underscore its long-term belief in the company. Adding major global validation, South Korea’s gaming behemoth, KRAFTON—creators of the world-famous PUBG: Battlegrounds—joined the round, alongside APY Ventures. Existing investors, including The TMRW Foundation and ACK Ventures, also participated with follow-on support, building on the initial $1.5 million pre-seed capital secured by the team in 2023.
The Vision: A Unified Racing Universe
For Supergears, the goal is bigger than a single standalone title. Co-founder and CEO Yasin Demirden emphasized this expansive thinking, stating: “Our vision goes beyond creating a single game; we're building our own racing universe. This investment is a strong reflection of the trust placed in that vision.”
The company, founded in 2022, is focused on bringing together all major racing genres—from drag racing to circuit competition—into one cohesive mobile experience. This universe aims to deliver a "premium" experience defined by stunning "next-generation" graphics and realistic, immersive sound design.
The fresh capital will be deployed to expand the global operations of their debut title and, critically, to develop entirely new games that will feed into the shared Racing Kingdom brand, forging it into a sustainable passion point for millions of players worldwide.
Building on Proven Success
The investment arrives on the heels of impressive initial success for their first offering, Racing Kingdom: King of Drag. Since its global launch in June 2025 for both iOS and Android, the game has already amassed a community of 1.6 million players.
It distinguishes itself by offering officially licensed vehicles from world-renowned manufacturers, including major names like Audi, BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Lotus, Volkswagen, Renault, and Jaguar. Beyond its commercial success, the title has also earned industry accolades, clinching both the "Best Mobile Game" and "Best Racing Game" awards at Turkey's prestigious Kristal Piksel 2025 awards.
Investor Kerem Özten, from Hedef Portföy’s investment committee, highlighted the studio’s role as a market disruptor. “SuperGears is not simply following this transformation [in the gaming industry]; they are helping shape it,” Özten commented, praising the team’s "clarity of vision" and "strong command of game technologies," signalling confidence that Supergears is poised for rapid global scaling.
