Liverpool FC International Academy has begun operations in Türkiye, establishing two training bases in Istanbul and opening its coaching program to young players aged 5 to 16. The Türkiye operation says its programs are delivered under Liverpool FC guidance and standards.
The academy will use the coaching curriculum and training methodology developed by Liverpool FC, with players working on technical, tactical, physical and mental development under the club's "Liverpool Way" philosophy. The Türkiye program is an official Liverpool FC partner and works with the club's technical and business development teams in Liverpool.
Liverpool FC operates its International Academy through a global network of partners, allowing young players outside England to take part in club-developed coaching programs. Liverpool describes the system as an international extension of its coaching model, with programs built around methods used by its academy structure in England.
The Türkiye operation currently lists two facilities on Istanbul's European side. One is located in Zekeriyaköy, Sarıyer, while the second is at Istanbul International Community School in Karaağaç, Büyükçekmece. Pre-registration has opened for the Istanbul program.
Liverpool FC International Academy Türkiye is headed by General Manager and CEO Selçuk Güler. The program also plans camps and player trials, with separate trial activities announced for boys and girls aged 6 to 16.
The International Academy operates within Liverpool FC's global youth coaching network rather than as an overseas branch of the club's professional academy in England. Its focus is on delivering Liverpool-developed training and player development programs through official international partners.
