Kadıköy Book Days has opened at the Kadıköy Municipality garden in Istanbul, bringing nearly 100 publishers and a wide literary program to readers through June 21.

The event is marking its 10th edition this year, with novelist Ayşe Kulin named as guest of honor. The program includes book signings, public talks and panels across literature, poetry, journalism, children's publishing, politics, architecture and urban memory.

The guest list includes Ayşe Kulin, Constantin Schwab, Nasuh Mahruki, Şükrü Erbaş, Aslı Alpar, Zehra Çelenk, Barış Terkoğlu, Murat Ağırel, Timur Soykan, Murat Uyurkulak, Mario Levi and Mahir Ünsal Eriş, among other writers and speakers.

The fair gives Istanbul's Asian side a major summer literary event outside the city's larger commercial exhibition halls, placing publishers, authors and readers inside a municipal cultural venue in central Kadıköy.

Kadıköy Municipality said the program will continue until June 21, with daily events aimed at adult readers, children and visitors interested in the city's cultural memory.
