HAVELSAN Signs Defense Simulation Deal With Belgium's Euramec

By Bosphorus News Defense Desk

HAVELSAN has signed a defense cooperation agreement with Belgian simulation company Euramec during Eurosatory 2026 in Paris, adding a European partner to the Turkish company's expanding flight simulation and training portfolio.

The agreement was announced by Belgian Defense Minister Theo Francken, who said the partnership could open commercial opportunities for Euramec in Türkiye's growing defense market.

Euramec, based in Belgium, develops flight simulation and training systems for military, law enforcement, public service, commercial aviation and general aviation users. The company's portfolio includes cockpit systems, mission training devices and virtual maintenance training tools.

The agreement comes as HAVELSAN is expanding its own simulator production capacity in Türkiye. The company broke ground this year on a new 17,000-square-meter Simulator Production and Integration Facility in Ankara, with plans to produce more than 30 simulators annually once the site enters service.

HAVELSAN has been positioning its simulation business across both civil and military aviation training. The Euramec agreement gives the Turkish company another European link in a sector where simulator production, pilot training systems and mission rehearsal technologies are becoming a larger part of defense industry cooperation.

No detailed project scope, joint product line or production arrangement was announced with the agreement. That makes the deal a cooperation signal rather than a confirmed industrial program, but it still places Türkiye's defense simulation market inside a wider Belgian-Turkish defense industry channel.
