Türkiyes Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi during a phone call on March 10, 2026 that any violation of Türkiye’s airspace would be unacceptable, according to diplomatic sources.

The call focused on the latest developments related to Iran and the wider regional situation, as tensions remain elevated and concerns grow over the risk of further spillover across the region.

During the conversation, Fidan underlined Ankara’s position in clear terms, saying that any breach of Turkish airspace would be unacceptable and stressing that Türkiye expects full respect for its sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The two ministers also exchanged views on the broader course of the crisis and the risks tied to further escalation.

The contact was part of Ankara’s ongoing diplomatic outreach as Türkiye steps up efforts to contain regional tensions and prevent the conflict from widening.
