Greek Outlet Claims Azerbaijani Oil Reaches Israel via Türkiye and Greek Tankers
By Bosphorus News Energy Desk
A report published by Greek outlet Neostrategy claims that Azerbaijani oil continues to reach Israel through a supply chain running via Türkiye and carried onward by Greek-owned tanker fleets.
In its analysis, Neostrategy argues that crude produced in Azerbaijan is transported through the Baku–Tbilisi–Ceyhan Pipeline and exported from Türkiye's Mediterranean terminal at Ceyhan before being shipped to Israel.
The article presents this route as a three-part structure. Azerbaijan acts as the upstream supplier. Türkiye functions as the transit corridor and export hub. Greek owned tankers handle the maritime delivery leg to end markets, including Israel.
According to the report, this arrangement highlights how commercial energy flows can continue despite visible political tensions across the Eastern Mediterranean. The piece frames the system as a practical alignment driven by infrastructure and market demand rather than coordinated political positioning.
There is no indication in the report of a formal trilateral mechanism linking Azerbaijan, Türkiye and Greece in this trade. The flows described are based on existing pipeline infrastructure, export terminals and global shipping networks.
The claim and its interpretation are presented by Neostrategy and have not been independently verified by Bosphorus News.
