7th Azerbaijan–Georgia–Türkiye Business Forum spotlights trade, corridors, and 2026 growth targets
The 7th Azerbaijan–Georgia–Türkiye Business Forum was held in Tsinandali, Kakheti, bringing together government officials and business representatives from the three neighbouring countries. Opening remarks were delivered by Azerbaijan’s Economy Minister Mikayil Jabbarov, Georgia’s Economy and Sustainable Development Minister Mariam Kvrivishvili, and Türkiye’s Trade Minister Ömer Bolat.
Bolat used the forum to underline Türkiye’s headline macro targets, saying the country’s gross domestic product is projected to reach $1.6 trillion in 2026.
The Georgian side framed the meeting around connectivity and energy. In reporting carried by Georgia’s public broadcaster, Kvrivishvili described energy cooperation as a “key pillar” of the trilateral relationship and pointed to upcoming regional connectivity initiatives, including a Green Energy Corridor and the Black Sea Submarine Cable project.
Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Economy said the trilateral format has helped expand energy, transport-logistics, and trade links, arguing that the projects implemented under this framework have reshaped the region’s energy map and widened Europe-facing supply options.
From Baku, Jabbarov presented the cooperation track as part of a broader stability narrative, while also using his speech to mark the anniversary of Khojaly, according to AZERTAC coverage of his remarks at the forum.
Coverage across Azerbaijani and Turkish outlets also highlighted the operational angle of the agenda: upgrading east-west routes and keeping the Trans-Caspian “Middle Corridor” commercially competitive as trade flows diversify.
The forum’s scale was reflected in local reporting, with Georgian coverage citing roughly 400 delegates attending, including a large business contingent.
